Job Description

Summary of Functions:

Due to continued growth we are seeking a Mechanical / Automation Technician at our operation in the Mebane community.  Work hours are M-F 3:00 - 11:30


The chosen candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical /electronic repairs on automated conveyance, robotics, and packaging systems.


Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment  (ie.: packaging machinery, robotics, conveyance systems, RF sealing dies, etc.)
• Responsible for the coordination and upkeep of a preventive maintenance program for plant equipment.
• Performs routine and emergency maintenance. (ie. painting, carpentry, grinding, drilling, minor electrical equipment repair)
• Repairs equipment and tooling using hand, hydraulic, and electrical tools
• Performs monthly and safety internal inspections
• Follow company policies, procedures and safety regulations
• Additional duties / projects as asssigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environment
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist as needed
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand/sit for a long period of time
• Normal or corrected hearing and vision
• Ability to use a ladder may be required

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Technical degree in a maintenance or automated robotics field
• Three plus years of maintenance experience in a high speed, automated packing environment
• Experience working with RF sealers is highly preferred.
• Experience using computer software programs (ie.: Excel, Word, etc)
• Flexible team player with ability to communicate effectively with employees, customer and vendors.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions
