The "Grant Thornton NC 100" is an annual award that identifies the top 100 privately held companies located in North Carolina. The listing is organized by Grant Thornton along with the Business North Carolina magazine.
In 2006, New Breed experienced a 17% increase in revenue over 2005, which resulted in a ranking of 35th on the "Grant Thornton NC 100" list. The revenue increase was a result of adding several new clients and significantly increasing its service offerings for existing clients such as Boeing, United Technologies, and Verizon Wireless. During the 2006 calendar year, New Breed added more than 1,100 employees and 12 new locations to its growing infrastructure. The company was also named as Boeing's Supplier of the Year for 2006.
New Breed's growth has continued into 2007, as the company expects to increase its revenue by an estimated 27%. In April, New Breed signed a deal with Hallmark in which New Breed is responsible for receiving goods, inventory management and distributing product to retail stores nationwide for the greeting card giant. The company also has two large contracts its plans to finalize by the end of the year.
New Breed also has some exciting projects in the pipeline for 2008, which should prove to be yet another profitable year for the growing company as well. The company expects to add more marquee clients to its already expanding customer list as well as to continue to grow its current service offerings for its major clients.
