Boeing’s FIRST Program awarded “Contractor-Military Collaboration of the Year” at Defense Logistics Conference

New Breed Logistics, Inc., based in High Point, North Carolina, announced today that Boeing’s F/A-18 Integrated Readiness Support Teaming, or FIRST, program was awarded the “Contractor-Military Collaboration of the Year” at the Defense Logistics conference in Washington, DC on Tuesday, November 27, 2007. New Breed operates the central distribution center for Boeing’s FIRST Program in its Ontario, CA facility.

Through the FIRST Program, Boeing partners with Naval Air Systems Command and Naval Inventory Control Points to provide spare parts to the F/A-18 E/F fleet of aircraft throughout the world. New Breed supports the FIRST Program by providing warehousing and distribution, inventory management and outbound transportation for the F/A-18 spare parts as required by Boeing and the Navy.

New Breed operates other programs for Boeing including spares and repairs programs for the H-46 rotorcraft, Japan and Italy KC-767 tankers, the USAF and Korean F-15s, the C-17 and the F-22. Additionally, the company provides parts kitting and line-side delivery services for new-build military rotorcraft programs at Boeing’s Philadelphia manufacturing site, as well as for the commercial 787 Dreamliner assembly in Everett, Washington.

The Defense Logistics awards ceremony honors, recognizes, and promotes logisticians in the US Department of Defense and the Defense Industry that have made a significant contribution to military logistics.
