3PL will operate distribution center in San Antonio, Texas, for defense industry leader

High Point, NC — April 8, 2009, New Breed Logistics, Inc., has announced that they have received a contract from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems to operate a distribution and supply support program at Boeing’s Global Services & Support site in San Antonio, Texas. The center is a maintenance, modification and upgrade facility for in-service Department of Defense tanker and transport aircraft including the KC-135 Stratotanker, the KC-10 Extender, C-17 Globemaster III, and C-130 Hercules.

New Breed, which was awarded the five-year contract through open competition, has begun phasing in its service and parts-support at the 99,000-square-feet operations. This agreement represents a continuation, as well as an expansion, of the relationship between New Breed and The Boeing Company.

Additionally, the company provides parts kitting and line-side delivery services for new-build military rotorcraft programs at Boeing’s Philadelphia manufacturing site that include the Chinook and V-22 Osprey.
